Simon begins his sabbatical at Heller lab, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre

Well - the planning is over, winter is here, and the Big Apple awaits. I'm thrilled to have this opportunity (supported by the 2018 Leslie (Les) J. Fleming Churchill Fellowship) to take 4 months out from life in Melbourne to get back into the lab and learn as much as I can about near infrared (NIR) imaging, spectroscopy and hyperspectral imaging in Prof Daniel Heller's lab at Sloan Kettering - one of the world's best cancer hospitals and research centres. Of course I had to pop down to Times Square for a few photos - although 10 minutes is about the maximum time possible before the crowds get a bit much. Stay tuned!
