Following up on our successful paper developing a new COVID19 serology platform using universally available blood-typing platforms, in this paper led by Dr Vidhi Kesarwani and Dr Julia Walker, we replaced red blood cells with polymer bead scaffolds to achieve agglutination and detection. While the agglutination process is different, the results are very similar, but donor blood cells are not required, and can be used for important transfusion therapy.
