Oxygen and reactive oxygen species (ROS) are key actors in cellular metabolism. "Point-based" monitoring over time has been realised for oxygen sensing, however ROS molecules are short-lived and challenging to catch. Moving from point-based monitoring to 3D monitoring is a big challenge, but its hard to know what opportunities this opens up before we have the technology to try it!
